Managing director Eric Yong said the group's plan is to push for more construction jobs now that its Shah Alam property development 'The Greens' is almost fully taken up.

"We have only come to the stage of getting the data. No real decision has been made [on the mechanism]," Dr Mahathir said. 

"We see businesses find it difficult to obtain approval to invest and contribute to the growth of the economy," said Dr Mahathir. 

The assets, seized between May 7, 2018 and March 11, 2019, are underlined in the RM31 million forfeiture action by the government under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act, on grounds that the assets were allegedly acquired using funds siphoned from 1MDB.

Filed in February 2017 by Semantan Estates (1952) Sdn Bhd against the Federal Territory Registrar of Titles, the civil suit sought for the plaintiff to be registered as the proprietor of the land free of encumbrances and liabilities.

Of the total 464 initiatives, 53 initiatives have been completed, while others are in various stages of completion, and the Prime Minister said they will work over the next four years to fulfil the promises made in the GE14 manifesto.

"In the past decade, the nation's economy has transformed radically and this resulted in us not being able to become a developed nation as underlined under Vision 2020. The economic model in the past decade only focused on adding more national debt for mega projects," Dr Mahathir said.

The approved loan was to be used for general investment "without limitations".

Under the JDAs with the four landowners, Tropicana will develop the lands at its own costs.
